Scanning can be scheduled to run at a specific time or a specific location, and could be modified to run on the computer when not in use. Microsoft Security Essentials is easy to update the database automatically, and is fully integrated with Windows Explorer and the Windows Firewall. Microsoft Security Essentials is Microsoft's first attempt to create a security application that can stand on its own for use at home. Due to its simplicity and suitability for beginners, this app may not be the best choice for advanced users or professional network administrators, but for the general user, this application includes all the basic functions. To be noted, however, that Microsoft Security Essentials does not delete files - this application only delete files if infected.
